Trinity United Methodist Church, Huntsville, Alabama will host Andy Offutt Irwin, Bill Harley, and Kathryn Tucker Windham in a grand storytelling event Saturday, February 27th, 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM. This is as good as it gets, folks.
Andy Offutt Irwin’s latest CD, Crowd Control, received HONORS in the category STORYTELLING RECORDINGS from the 2010 STORYTELLING WORLD AWARDS. With this recognition, every one of his four storytelling CDs has received national honors or awards. Way to go, Andy!
Also, the book LITERACY DEVELOPMENT IN THE STORYTELLING CLASSROOM, Norfolk, Stenson, & Williams was a WINNER in the category SPECIAL STORYTELLING RESOURCES. Andy was a contributing author to this wonderful collection of lesson plans for incorporating storytelling into the K-6 classroom, with his (I’ve Got Those) Low Down Dirty Emergent Reader Blues.
